Choose a postflop tool by the question you need answered
Published · Reviewed
A library, a local solver, and a training app solve different study problems. This guide compares documented capabilities for intermediate heads-up cash-game study; it is not a performance ranking or a hands-on accuracy test.
Choose the task before the product
For a known spot with standard assumptions, browsing a prepared solution can be enough. For a question about your own ranges or bet menu, you need control over those inputs. For repeated decision practice, look for training and feedback suited to the situations you want to rehearse.
Check the format and starting depth first. “Poker solver” does not establish support for your variant, tournament model, multiway pot, or unusual action sequence. Our starting scope is six-max No-Limit Hold’em with two players remaining after the flop, especially button versus big blind at 100bb. Recommendations outside that scope need a different review.
The comparison uses five criteria: coverage of the intended game, control of ranges and bet sizes, ability to practise decisions, total cost including required hardware, and current access restrictions. The recommendation is conditional on your task. No tool here was benchmarked against another.
Prepared solutions and browser practice: GTO Wizard
GTO Wizard documents a study interface, a practice mode, and a separate custom-solving workflow. It is a candidate when you want to inspect prepared solutions and practise within an integrated service. Its study documentation and practice overview explain those workflows; its custom-solving documentation describes the additional solve controls.
Confirm that the specific subscription includes your format, depth, and required features. A library entry and a custom solve need not share the same inputs, and the existence of a custom-solving feature does not mean every account can use every option.
The official pricing destination opened an interactive application without a readable price table in this documentation check on October 24, 2026. No subscription price is quoted here. Inspect the current plan, billing period, currency, and checkout before committing money; the missing quote prevents a complete cost comparison in this guide.
Custom postflop trees at a lower published license price: GTO+
GTO+ documents a postflop heads-up Hold’em solver with a tree builder supporting multiple sizes, solution navigation, and database analysis. It is a candidate if your main question is how a custom tree changes a solution and you are prepared to configure and run the computation yourself. These capabilities come from the vendor’s feature description, not independent speed or accuracy testing.
On October 24, 2026, the purchase page listed a main license at $75 and a second license at $40, with taxes potentially added by location. The page describes a one-time registration fee with future updates included and one computer per main license. The dollar amounts are reproduced in the vendor’s displayed currency notation; verify the checkout currency and total.
The advertised license price does not include the computer or the time needed to construct and solve trees. Verify platform compatibility and try the available download before buying. A lower license price does not establish an equivalent interface, workflow, or measured accuracy relative to another product.
Custom trees and scripting: PioSOLVER
PioSOLVER is a candidate when you need configurable heads-up postflop solves and scripting. Its product page lists Pro at €450 and Edge at €800, plus applicable taxes, checked October 24, 2026. Both list multiple bet sizes and scripting; the advertised core limits are sixteen for Pro and sixty-four for Edge. Edge also lists a heads-up preflop solver. The product page lists one year of software updates, which should be distinguished from the duration of a license.
The hardware FAQ specifies 64-bit Windows and explains that memory constrains tree size. A Mac user should establish a workable Windows setup before purchasing. Do not assume that a higher core limit makes a particular study useful or guarantees a solve time on your machine.
For a bounded custom-tree question, compare whether you need PioSOLVER’s documented scripting and edition-specific features with the workflow GTO+ documents. This is a feature-and-cost decision. This review supplies no named-product accuracy result to justify choosing one over the other.
Learning and application access: SolvedHand
Turnstone and SolvedHand have the same owner. SolvedHand is included as the product where readers can use Turnstone, not as an independently tested winner. Its homepage currently offers public calculators, charts, a free lesson, and a daily puzzle, while the full trainer is invite-only. Access was checked on October 24, 2026; no paid trainer price is quoted.
It is a candidate for readers who want those public learning tools or already have access to the trainer. It is not a substitute for an unrestricted custom-tree desktop solver. Our engine explanation distinguishes stored numerical solutions from learned flop estimates. Common ownership provides no evidence that those answers are more accurate than competitors’ outputs.
What this comparison leaves untested
This was a documentation check of vendor pages, not an installation, paid-account trial, usability study, or solver benchmark. Claims about speed, ease of use, or superior accuracy were not tested and are not part of the recommendations. Prices and entitlements can change; source links and check dates are listed below so you can verify the parts that affect a purchase.
Before paying, choose one representative study question and check that the product can express its ranges, action sequence, and required sizes. Inspect access, license terms, hardware needs, and the final billed total. If those facts are unclear, the guide does not supply a basis to buy on the strength of a feature label alone.
